Dr Benson Trinh graduated from the University of Sydney. He completed his internship, residency, and physician's training at numerous hospitals including Westmead, Blacktown, Nepean, Orange and Macquarie University Hospital.

He successfully completed the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) exam and has experience as a senior registrar in oncology and gastroenterology. He completed the Sydney Child Health Program delivered by the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network. He has also completed a Master of Research (MRes) in gastroenterology, focusing on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

He has special interests in Preventative health, Weight loss management, Children's health, Family Planning and minor surgical procedures including minor skin excisions, Implanon insertion and removal.

He also works as a Visiting Medical Officer for Hospital in the Home at Concord Hospital, Canterbury Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
