About Dr. Taifa Ahmed

Dr Taifa Ahmed's holistic approach to medicine is best described as compassionate care through a clinical lens. Having graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2015 and attaining Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2020, Dr Taifa is committed to optimising family and community health outcomes by addressing each individual's mental and physical health goals.

As a mother of two, Dr Taifa appreciates the complexities of maternal and paediatric health, drawing on her experience working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Westmead Hospital, Paediatrics at Westmead Children's Hospital and Psychiatry at Cumberland Hospital. She has completed the Diploma of Child Health, a Professional Certificate of Women's Health and postgraduate studies in Sexual and Reproductive Health (Family Planning NSW). Dr Taifa is accredited for Implanon insertion and removal and antenatal shared care.

Having lived in various regions of Australasia, she values the human connections formed with people of different backgrounds, utilising this insight in her patient-centred consultations. Often performing skin checks and excisions, Dr Taifa also holds a special interest in dermatology, having completed a Diploma of Dermatology and a Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine.

When not at work, Dr Taifa embraces her creative side by adding to her ever-growing pile of "to be read" books, entering various painting competitions and creating adventurous bedtime stories for her children.
